2021-2022 Tuition Rates for Pre-K (3 and 4 year old programs)

We offer a flat rate of $4,150 for Pre-K students with no other siblings enrolled at St. Martha Parish School. Pre-K students with other enrolled siblings would follow the Good Steward or Non-Contributing family rates listed above. 

We also offer a half day program for $2,650. Half day students are expected to arrive by 8:00 AM and dismiss at 11:15 AM.

Please note that the annual fees listed below apply to both full day and half day Pre-K in addition to tuition.  

What does it mean to be a Good Steward?

In order to receive the "Good Steward Rate," families must support the parish financially with a minimum of $10 per week in church offerings and purchase at least $75 per week in scrip. If you do not already have a scrip account, please sign up for one as soon as possible in the Scrip Office during regular scrip hours. Scrip is a convenient way to lower your tuition at no additional cost! To find out more, please click on the "Scrip" tab of our website.

Annual Fees

The following fees are also required and are added to the tuition account: 

  • Non-refundable registration fee of $175 per family (to be paid in May or the first month of your payment plan)
  • Book and technology fee of $75 per student 
  • Lunch fee of $100 per student (covers utility costs, maintenance, and cleaning)
  • Mandatory fall and spring lottery ticket fundraisers of $75 each ($150 total) per family - lottery tickets can be sold to family and          friends to offset the cost  
  • Kindergarten activity fee of $50 per Kindergarten student
  • Pre-K activity Fee of $50 per Pre-K student

The following paperwork must be submitted upon registration:

  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of baptismal certificate, if applicable
  • Most recent immunization records
  • Copy of most recent report card, if applicable

Early Prepayment Discount

For anyone who would like to pay all of their tuition and fees in full by May 15, 2021, we are once again offering a 5% discount off your total tuition. For instance, if you are a "good steward" and have one child enrolled in SMS and you pay everything in full by May 15th, your discount will be $192. "Good stewards" with two children enrolled in SMS get a $327 discount. Those with three or more children get a discount of $432. Our non-Catholic or "non-contributing" families are also offered this discount. The higher your tuition, the greater your savings. Referral Incentive Program

You can save $500 on your 2021/2022 tuition and fees by referring a family to St. Martha Parish School. Once this family applies and is accepted to our school, a credit of $500 will be applied to your tuition account. Please call Maria Gilbert at 215-632-0320 for details.

Welcome to Kindergarten Grant

Every kindergarten student enrolled for the 2021-2022 school year will receive a $1,000 grant sponsored by the Foundation for Catholic Education. Got twins? Get $2,000 off their total tuition! Financial Aid

Tuition assistance applications can be completed online beginning November 1, 2020. In addition to the completed application, families must also provide their 2020 Federal Tax Return. Please click on the following link for school codes: AOP School Codes

Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia

CSFP Provides four-year, need-based, partial scholarships for up to three children in a family. CSFP will award new scholarships to Philadelphia children through two random lotteries. CSFP conducts a priority lottery in mid-November of each year. Winners for this early group will be notified in December. Any applications not selected in this initial lottery will be automatically entered in the final lottery which takes place in early March. Winners of that lottery are notified later in the month.

Applications for scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year are available on CSFP's website (click here). To be eligible, families must confirm that they:

  • Reside in Philadelphia
  • Have a child entering Pre-K4 through 8th grade in September 2021
  • Meet CSFP's income eligibility requirements
